Play each line first with the metronome beating eighth notes (six beats per bar). When your rhythm is solid that way, change the beat value to dotted quarter notes (two beats per bar). Aim for eighth note = 150‐168, and dotted quarter = 50‐56.

There are three forms of the C minor scale:

For the C melodic minor scale, the 6th and 7th steps are raised on the way up and lowered again on the way down.

In the C harmonic minor scale, the 7th step is raised on the way up and down.
